Denga has a BCom (Information Systems and Accounting) and a Higher Diploma in Accounting from the University of the Witwatersrand, an MDP B-BBEE certificate from Unisa, and a Certificate in Property Management from the University of the Witwatersrand. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant South Africa (CA(SA)) and a Registered Auditor.
Denga has a professional background in auditing, investment banking, consulting, curatorship and liquidations. He began his career at one of the “big 5” audit firms in their financial services audit department. Denga’s client portfolio included listed and unlisted multinational financial institutions (including banks and development financial institutions), large metro municipalities and other small businesses in the financial services sector. During this period, Denga was a member of the firm’s specialist treasury advisory group which provided treasury advisory services. Denga was also involved corporate finance advisory and financial forensic investigations.
Denga’s investment banking experience was gained from working at two of South Africa’s leading financial institutions. Denga gained experience in various advisory mandates including balance sheet restructuring, mergers and acquisitions (including BEE and cross-border transactions), asset disposals and capital raising. Denga also worked as a buy-side transaction executive wherein his responsibilities included identifying target companies, executing the acquisition of the target, and managing the investee company until exits from the investee company.
Denga has served and continues to serve as an independent member of numerous audit and risk committees.
Denga is responsible for business development at Ramuedzisi. At Ramuedzisi, Denga has led various internal and external audit assignments, and advisory mandates which inter alia included business and corporate restructuring (including business rescues and liquidations), mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, financial and operational due diligence, asset verifications. At Ramuedzisi, Denga’s client portfolio includes JSE listed entities, State-Owned Entities (at all three spheres of government), government departments and a wide range of unlisted businesses (from very large private companies to owner managed companies).
Denga is also an active member of SAICA Business Rescue Interest Group and the South African Restructuring and Insolvency Practitioners Association.
